Acc U Rate® CMS 50D Pulse Oximeter with Silicon Cover, Neck/Wrist cord and Batteries

The Acc U Rate® CMS 50D deluxe pulse oximeter uses the same technology embedded in the CMS 50 DL pulse oximeters (B00COQJ90A) to measure your SpO2 (oxygen saturation) and pulse rate. But most importantly, it features an additional plethysmograph that indicates blood flow.

How does the plethysmograph work?
Each wave corresponds to a heart beat and the wave amplitude corresponds to the amount of blood flowing through the blood vessels. If the wave amplitude is low, this means that your blood perfusion might be too low for a reliable read. You should retake your measurement and make sure that your finger is positioned right under the LED lights. Thus, the plethysmograph allows you to determine confidently if the registered reading is accurate.

In addition, it has an upgraded rotatable multidirectional display, allowing you to view your results in any directions.

Despite the added features, the pulse oximeter remains light and portable, allowing convenient measurement on the go. Suitable for sports enthusiasts like mountain climbers, hikers, skiers, bikers or anyone interested in measuring oxygen saturation and pulse rate. The two included AA batteries allow measurement for up to 30 hours.

Good at Twice the Price (or more), September 24, 2013
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
As far as I can tell this is the exact same unit made in the exact same Chinese factory as all the other good units I have come across at twice or four times the price (and in one instance, eight times the price). I bought two of these (one for the car and one for the office). I put one of them on my left finger and one I already had (purchased at twice the price) on my right; and the displays came up exactly the same! Switching fingers made no difference. Switching the new one for the other new one made no difference! Home-made proof (to my satisfaction) of adequate calibration! I’m delighted – really.

Great Oximeter., July 21, 2013

I am a nurse and my husband was ill and I wanted to purchase one to be able to check his level. I looked at local stores and they wanted .00. So far it has proved to be an awesome product. Very easy to use and we love the cover that comes with it. I would recommend this product to everyone who needs to keep track of their oxygen levels. Great price.

works great, December 2, 2013
Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I am a registered nurse, and I regularly use this pulse ox to monitor my patients in a nursing home. I like that you can see if you’re getting a good waveform or not. It works fairly quickly, and it seems to be pretty accurate. You can even leave it in place for continuous monitoring and it doesn’t shut off. The only downside is that rubber cover doesn’t fit well, and it always slips off.
