don't waste your money on a fitbit. 20 different exercise modes? on the 5?. ha! I just went to double theres 16.. the fitbit are built NOT to last. apparently they usually have a 53 week life. approx. . so they die just outside the warranty limitations..
Fitbit is getting rid of challenges in March. Switching up. ?

Charge 5
It would help if you showed the apps these come with and if they need a subscription or not as that is a deal breaker for me

Has the Fitbit improved the durability of their Fitbit and band connection? I have a Fitbit Alta and the band keeps falling off the body. Very frustrating. It just falls right off my wrist.
Did the fitbit improved the fitbit charge in regard to water resistent? I had two of them that "died" while swimming exactly after 1,5 years. Some happened with some friends that had fitbit charger.
I own the Garmin Venu and Fitbit Charge 5. I don't like the Fitbit because it requires a subscription if you want to review your long term stats. I don't like the Garmin because the interface is not user-intuitive and I prefer the Fitbit form factor.
I had many Fitbits, all disappointing and now without a subscription I cannot even use the current one for full health monitoring
I am using Charge 5 for 3 months, I go swimming once with it for 15 minutes only , after it never worked again, it stuck on the Fitbit’s logo and never work, i tryed to restarted by pressing the charger button 3 times but still nothing changed, i though its water approved i was swimming in top of the pool ??
I stay with fitbit cause I hate Smartwatches and that is exactly what the Samsung and Apple Watch are. I want a tracker and not a watch. I hate getting calls and or texts mid workout, throws me off my game. There was a tracker that I used to wear and it was great, a bit uncomfortable because it was round like a AA battery, but the battery life it had made me get used to it, 6 months if I recall. It was called the Misfit Ray.
Which ones do not need a monthly subscription. That’s a deal breaker for me
I came here because my Fitbits have all died within one year… and here it is on a top 5 quality list… Anyone know what brand has a good build quality that will last longer than a year?
